hi there, khristy kim here. I am an acrylic painter located on a tiny rock in the pacific northwest known in these parts as orcas Island. I started my artistic education as an analogue photographer then switched to painting after the campus darkroom was torn down for renovations. since then I have found joy in painting many subjects including animals, landscapes, boats, plants, lighthouses and the occasional people. the past few years I have been mostly focused on my commissioned pet portraits while creating series for local galleries however I am getting more requests for curated custom pieces and really enjoying that process. when my hands are not covered in paint they can be found knitting, swimming, camping, boating, and biking. thanks for checking out all that khristy paints.
